7. Pet Water Bowl: Pet drinking water tests will show you what your pet's water contains. The pet bowl should not be cleaned right before the test. Allowing your pet to drink from it will show whether or not the water is still pure adequate for humans.

Repeat Your Drinking Water Test

A good scientist repeats tests to be sure the results are the same. You will not have precise results if you run your drinking water test only once.

Analyze

Analyze the results of your tests. Which water is purer? Which one tastes better, looks better, and smells better? From your analysis, do you think your prediction will hold up?

Arrive at Conclusions

8th Grade Science Fair task

Any topic can be selected for 8th grade science fair task provided it uses scientific process. It is best to take the simple one, which is experimental in nature and not designing a model. The topic selected for an 8th grade science fair task should not be a replica of an already tried experiment. The original experiment should not be represented as such with out any change. Materials

Procedure

1. Cut the paper towel into rectangular strips about one inch wide and as tall as the glass container.

2. Take one of the markers and draw a horizontal line on the paper towel strip about one inch from the bottom.

3. Take a pencil or a pen. Poke a hole in the middle of the paper towel strip. Insert the pencil or pen straight through this hole so the strip hangs in the middle.

4. Rest the pencil or pen on the top edges of the glass container. The paper towel strip should be hanging into the glass container.

5. Take the pencil/pen off. Pour adequate water into the glass container so when the strip is put back in, the water submerges the very bottom of the strip.

6. Put the strip back. Watch the water trip up the paper towel strip. Wait.

7. Repeat these steps for all the markers. See what colors each label color is made out of!

When you find the breaking point remove the books that were withhold and weigh them to settle how much weight the eggs could handle. This is surely incredible.

Be ready with paper towels as this science project will require cleaning up from broken eggs. You may want to do the project next to a sink in the kitchen or an area that does not have carpet so clean up is easy.

  5. vegetable oil
  6. food coloring

Procedure:

  1. Pour honey into one jar so it is 2 inches high.
  2. Food color the water (pick whatever color you like best!) and then pour 2 inches of water into the same jar with the honey.
  3. Then add oil to the same jar, 2 inches high again.
  4. Pour the liquids in reverse order in the second jar. (oil, water, honey)
  5. Put the objects in one jar. See what happens to the objects after 10 minutes, one hour, two hours.
  6. Repeat step five for objects in the second jar.

Results: What happened? divulge everything. You don't need to contain explanations of why something occurred. Make sure to bring to jars to the science fair!

Easy Earthworm Science Projects For Small Kids

  1. First of all, the camera is to take photos of your experiment, every step of the way as you go.
  2. Place the tin in the middle of the jar
  3. On the lowest of the jar place a layer of gravel and pebbles of about half an inch
  4. The layer of gravel and pebbles needs to be in the middle of the can and the glass of the jar
  5. Now you fill the jar with organery soil up to the height of the tin can and place the earthworms on top of this layer of soil
  6. Take the dark building paper and wrap it colse to the jar to make sure you keep out all light.
  7. Secure the building paper with the sticky tape to keep it in place
  8. Now you have to check the soil every now and again to see what happens
  9. Remember to replace the dark building paper every time and of course you have to take a photo every time for your display
  10. The idea is to examine the behavior of the earthworms for a while and once you are done, you have to place them back safely in the garden, they are very precious
  11. Make very sure you do not harm them in any way

Now, why did you do this experiment or scheme and what did you see?

The earthworms feed on the soil by taking it straight through their bodies. In this way the worms form tunnels that aerate the soil. This aerated soil provides the plants with the oxygen they need to grow.

This is why they are such an foremost part of the animal world. Without the earthworms many plant species will not be able to survive and we will not have sufficient food.
